FAQs

What is NeuroBalance?

NeuroBalance Family Wellness is a family clinic dedicated to helping children and families overcome social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges linked to neurodevelopmental challenges. Our goal is to identify and address the root causes of these challenges—so children can grow, thrive, and move forward with confidence.

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, we believe every child’s journey is unique. That’s why our process begins with a comprehensive assessment. Whether or not a child has a formal diagnosis, we evaluate key developmental areas to understand their specific needs and create a customized wellness plan that supports their growth and long-term success.

How much does the program cost?

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, program costs are determined by the number of sessions your child needs and your individual circumstances. While insurance does not cover our programs, we do provide several flexible payment options to help make the program affordable for families.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

NeuroBalance Family Wellness is more than just a typical service provider—our priority is helping your child get the support they need to reach their full potential. We strive to keep our programs affordable. We offer Care Credit and flexible interest-free options to make this doable for you.

How does the program work?

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, we begin each journey with a thorough assessment—because no two children experience developmental challenges in the same way. We evaluate key areas of development to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and create a customized program designed specifically for their needs.

To support proper development, our program addresses these core areas along with other important skills such as fine motor coordination, eye movement control, and auditory processing.

Brain development begins in the brainstem, where primitive reflexes originate. As these reflexes are integrated, communication within the brain improves and higher-level brain functions begin to strengthen. However, when there is a delay or imbalance, one side may become overactive while the other lags behind. Our program helps reintegrate these reflexes to promote balanced brain activity and healthy development.

Integration alone isn’t enough. We also work to gently stimulate the weaker side of the brain through multi-sensory activities. Children participate in purposeful exercises that activate their senses, strengthen neural connections, and support overall brain balance.
Physical movement plays a key role in this process. Strengthening the core and improving posture help engage the brain and body together.

What are primitive reflexes?

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, we understand the important role primitive reflexes play in early development. These automatic movements help babies survive and grow during the first few months of life. As the brain matures, they should naturally integrate and give way to more controlled, voluntary movements.

When primitive reflexes remain active beyond infancy, they can interfere with development—affecting speech, coordination, focus, and even eating habits. For example, if a reflex like the rooting reflex isn’t fully integrated, a child may struggle with speech clarity, fine motor control, or sensitivity around the mouth.

Do you need a diagnosis to work with someone?

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, we understand that a diagnosis can be helpful at times, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story—especially when it comes to conditions like ADD or ADHD. We do not need a diagnosis to support you. That’s why our process begins with a comprehensive assessment. We evaluate how the brain and body are working together.

This thorough evaluation helps us identify the root cause behind learning, behavior, or developmental challenges. With this information, we can create a personalized plan to help each child reach their full potential and bring better balance to their brain and body.

What if I miss a day?

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, we understand that life happens—illnesses, family needs, or unexpected delays can sometimes make it hard to keep a scheduled appointment. If you let us know ahead of time, we’ll do our best to reschedule your session, which we always prefer.

If rescheduling isn’t possible, we can add up to three missed sessions to the end of your child’s program. However, if a session is missed without notice (a no-show), we won’t be able to make up that appointment.

How long does the program take?

At NeuroBalance Family Wellness, every child’s program length is unique and based on their individual needs. The initial assessment helps us estimate the total duration of care and set realistic goals for each child’s progress.

To ensure steady growth, we reassess every four weeks to track each patients improvement and make adjustments as needed. This allows us to fine-tune the program so every activity continues to meet the child’s specific developmental needs.

What happens when the program ends?

When a patient fully participates as recommended in their program, we expect to see integrated primitive reflexes, a stronger core, and better balance between the two sides of the brain. Most importantly, they’ll have met most—if not all—of the goals set for their individual development plan. While we cannot guarantee the outcomes just as anything in medicine, we do expect progress and development in social, emotional, behavioral and academic skills.

We will always be available to you for continued guidance.
